Eyes member Juliet Pinto has been selected to be part of the International Environmental Communication Association’s (IECA’s) Climate Negotiations Working Group at the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21) in Paris in November.
As part of the IECA’s delegation, Pinto joins Phaedra C. Pezzullo (University of Colorado Boulder), Anabela Carvalho (University of Minho in Portugal), and Chui-Ling Tam (University of Calgary in Canada).
Pinto’s efforts will further the missions of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication and the Sea Level Solutions Center at Florida International University to communicate issues of and solutions for sea level rise. The eyesontherise.org team presented research related to communicating sea level rise issues earlier in 2015 at IECA’s conference in Boulder, Colorado.
