Click above to watch Webisode 2 (“The Pumps”) of the nine-part “Sea Level Rise Impact: An FIU/SJMC Series” produced by eyesontherise.org, students from Florida International University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and Miami’s local public television station, WPBT2. Webisodes can also be viewed on WPBT2’s community filmmaker’s YouTube channel.

“Sea Level Rise Impact” is a product of a grant awarded by the Online News Association and its donors.

“It’s an honor to have work done by FIU-SJMC students and faculty shown during a premier slot on WPBT2’s schedule,” said Dr. Raul Reis, dean of FIU’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication. “The quality of the work they produced, together with the urgency of the issue at hand, makes this series of docs required viewing — and well deserving of a large audience.”

Mark your calendars for the next web installments of “Sea Level Rise Impact” released each Wednesday to mid-April, and read more about the series from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
